A look at TG inside and out

This multi functional room is the the main living area and includes a fully upholstered seating unit, a fold out nautical table, a galley with solid iroko units, granite work surface and a red range as the focal point. There is a fridge/ freezer and plenty of storage space.  Entertainment is provided with a tv and dvd player and there are a diverse range of books, dvd’s and cd’s on board for your enjoyment as well as some traditional board games.

This cabin has a fitted double bed which tucks slightly under the decks. It has a solid iroko bedside, a memory foam mattress, feather pillows, cotton linens and a range of throws and cushions. Storage and hanging space is provided by a three quarter height wardrobe, a range of cupboards and a dressing table. There is a wall mounted tv and dvd player, a bedside reading light, two Weems and Plath oil lamps and 4 opening portholes.

From the main living area a corridor leads down the barge. The first cabin is the twin room which makes a wonderful den for the children, but is also comfortable for 2 adults.

‘Quarters’ are provided in two 2’6″ wide full length beds with memory foam matresses. Both have feather pillows and cotton linens. Separating them is an iroko chest of drawers providing ample storage as well as concealing the PlayStation and providing a surface for the tv and dvd player. There are individual reading lights above the beds.

The room has a double-glazed opening window and a radiator to keep things cool in the summer and cosy in the winter.

Small but luxurious the shower room comprises a full height corner shower cubical with sliding doors and an Aquilisa shower with lashings of hot water. There is a full sized “proper” loo with electric flush and a vanity basin with a heated mirror above – just wave at it to turn it on!

All the tiles are Dutch Delft in design and were painted for us by the Norton Tile Co. to reflect Suffolk’s most famous bird – the avocet.

The room also has a shaver socket, radiator with towel rail and an opening porthole.

Outside there is a large cockpit accessed from the saloon which is fitted out in teak and has seating for 6+. This makes the perfect spot from which to relax and watch the world go by.
